SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos I Soter, 281-261 BC. Stater (Gold, 18 mm, 8.43 g, 6 h), Aï Khanoum, circa 266-261. Diademed head of Antiochos I to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; in inner left field, monogram. ESM 695α = Jameson 1671 = Kritt 11 (this coin, A10/P9). HGC 9, 122. SC 436.1. Struck from a worn reverse die and with some minor marks, otherwise, very fine.
